It was another rough week for teams in the NUC Sports National High School Top 25. Four teams fell to the loss column with three teams falling out of the Top 25. St. John Bosco (Calif.) lost a tough one to #1 Bishop Gorman (Nev.) 35-20; The Braves drop to #10.

Week 5

It was another rough week for teams in the NUC Sports National High School Top 25. Four teams fell to the loss column with three teams falling out of the Top 25. St. John Bosco (Calif.) lost a tough one to #1 Bishop Gorman (Nev.) 35-20; The Braves drop to #10.

Falling out of the NUC Sports National High School Top 25 was BT Washington (Fla.) who fturned the ball over five times in 12-9 loss to Miami Jackson (Fla.), St. Joe’s-Montvale (N.J.) 21-10 losers to St. John’s College (DC) and Katy (Texas) who fell for the second time this year this time 26-3 to The Woodlands (Texas).

Moving into the Top 25 for the first time are St. John’s College (DC) at #21, Jenks (Okla.) at #22 and Trinity (Ky.) at #25.

Shawn Robinson of DeSoto (Texas) is the NUC Sports National High School Top 25 Player of the Week. The senior signal caller completed 17 of 33 passes for 276 yards and four touchdowns. He also carried the ball 18 times for 203 yards and three scores in the Eagles 49-43 win over Midland (Texas).

There are not many elite matchups this week. St. John’s College #21 (3-0) travels to the Sunshine State to take on IMG Academy (Fla.) (3-0). In the battle of the Carolinas #14 Mallard Creek (N.C.) (3-0) visits South Pointe (S.C.) (3-1).
