Could Ronny Vandyke -the Virginia Tech Safety/Special Teams Ace Be the Next Kam Chancellor? With a Closer Look at the Numbers the Answer Is "Yes", per Inspired Athletes

Despite starting for 2 years at Virginia Tech Ronny Vandyke was flying below many teams draft radar.....that was until his Pro Day film started to make the rounds and scouts started to compare him to a young Kam Chancellor. The side by side comparison from both their pro days confirms the physical similarities.

Both Ronny & Kam are V-Tech alums which has often times been referred to as DB University.  Dan Smith, Ronny's agent at Inspired Athletes has this to say "at 6'3 219lbs you have a guy that can play multiple roles weather it’s a box safety, running the seams with TE's, or as a sub package LB. His open field tackling and his length is a rare blend. He's extremely versatile and a weapon for DC's looking for favorable matchups. On top of that he's played 803 Special Teams snaps at a school that for decades has been known for outstanding special team’s play.

Smith's sentiment seems to be shared by NFL personnel as he's received a surge of attention since his pro day with workouts and phone interviews. "It’s been an exciting process and the interest teams have shown adds to that excitement. I feel like I had a good workout with Washington, but I only scratched the surface of my capabilities. I can't wait for my opportunity. I plan to earn a roster spot with my special teams play and eventually work my way into the starting line up on defense.
