Davonte Lambert, Auburn DE and Inspired Athlete Client, has started his second straight game with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Originally signed as a free agent, Davonte has impressed Head Coach Dirk Koettner to become the Bucs starting defensive end.

“He was a very quiet guy but you can tell that he’s driven,” Defensive Coordinator Mike Smith said of Lambert. “He’s got a lot of resolve and plays extremely hard. I like his length. I like his balance. He has the ability to play both inside and outside. He’s more of a run-stopper than he is a pass rusher. We have to put ourselves in position where we can get our pass-rushing unit out there on the field. That’s something that we hope we can deploy this week.”

This past week Davonte played 51 snaps and is becoming a huge bonus to a defensive line that needed help.

"Since I met him, Davonte has been a special person, his dedication to the game and being successful is unmatched," says Dan Smith, Managing Director, Inspired Athletes.

"Davonte demonstrated tremendous passion, hard work, and outstanding on the field skills to land that spot. He works hard and is a tremendous person on and off the field," says David Schuman, Managing Director, Inspired Athletes.
